Jane Clark has been practicing law since 1989. She has had extensive prior experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury cases, with a particular emphasis on medical malpractice litigation.
Ms. Clark started her legal career as a solicitor in the United Kingdom representing plaintiffs in personal injury, medical malpractice, mental health, judicial review, family and criminal cases. In 1994, she became a partner with Lees & Partners and was appointed to several national specialist panels including the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel. She was a regular speaker at conferences and seminars throughout the United Kingdom.
In 1998, Ms. Clark relocated to Seattle, Washington and worked as a defense attorney representing physicians and hospitals in medical malpractice cases. In addition, she worked as a court appointed guardian ad litem in guardianship cases and as a settlement guardian ad litem in personal injury cases. In 2002, she moved to Portland and continued to represent defendants in medical malpractice, personal injury and health care related cases.
Jane Clark is currently a partner in the Vancouver firm of Baumgartner Nelson and Price LLP. She represents plaintiffs in medical malpractice and personal injury cases.
Ms. Clark is a member of the Washington State, Oregon State, Clark County and Multnomah County Bar Associations. She is a member of both Oregon and Washington Women Lawyers and a member of the Breast Cancer Legal Advocacy Project of Oregon and SW Washington. She is also a member of the Donald Simpson Inns of Court.
She previously served on the board of directors for the Washington Healthcare Risk Management Society and co-chaired their annual conference in 2001 and 2002. In 2000 and 2001, Ms. Clark was recognized as a “Rising Star” in Washington Law and Politics Magazine.
